trafolab, a new location for prototypes

a new place, a former transformer building with strong symbolic content: electrification and the beginning of the industrial age is replaced by digitalization and remote maintenance by a 2m³ cube. 216m³ of new space is created for the digital society with longings for the analogue, the haptic, the self-experience.

the initiator is the sculptor franz betz, who wants to create laboratory conditions for new art.

the goal is: to create new prototypes by combining light art and technology.
